Section/Region Governors

The current Northeastern Section was the New England Region of the MAA until 1955. In that year the Northeastern Section was admitted to the MAA as a section. With the change from region to section, the name was changed from New England to Northeastern because the four Maritime Provinces of Canada were joined with the old New England Region to form the new Section.
