This page provides information about the NES/MAA Spring 2007 Meeting and links to information about the meeting. It will be updated as additional information becomes available.

The meeting will be held at Keene State College on Friday, June 8th and Saturday, June 9th, 2007 and will feature 6 invited speakers including a Battles lecturer.

There will also be undergraduate student presentations, graduate student presentations, and regular contributed presentations. There will be an opening banquet on Friday night and a luncheon on Saturday.

The program for the meeting is given below. Please check back the website during the week of the meeting to obtain final room locations. All rooms are located in the Science Center (#19 on campus map).

Project NExT

The Northeastern Section is continuing a Section NExT program for new and relatively new colleagues at this year's FALL/SPRING Section meeting. By providing talks and workshops on issues of interest, opportunities to meet and share ideas with other new colleagues, and an introduction into Section activities, we hope to assist new faculty in their transition from graduate school to professional academic life.

The Section NExT program will be on Friday, June 8th, 2007. Please indicate your attendance on your preregistration form.

• Undergraduate Papers due by Friday, May 25th, 2007
• Graduate Student Papers due by Friday, May 25th, 2007

Registration

There is no online registration for this meeting, but there are two other options.

• Preregister by printing and filling out the preregistration form , and mailing it in with a check for the appropriate amount to:

  Please preregister by Friday, May 18, 2007.

• Register on-site at the meeting between 2:00-6:00 on Friday, 8 th of June 2007 in the lobby of the Science Center (#19 on campus map), and between 8:00-noon on Saturday, 9th of June 2007 also in the lobby of the Science Center.

You may register at the meeting if you wish; however, it would help to plan the meeting if you pre-register by mail.
Pre-registration will (i) save you money since the on-site registration fees are $5 more than the pre-registration fees, and (ii) guarantee your meals.

Meals

Friday dinner and Saturday lunch cannot be guaranteed unless reservations are made and paid for via the preregistration process by Friday, May 25, 2007. You are welcome to purchase tickets for spouses and guests to join you for the meals.

There will be limited tickets available for the banquet and the luncheon at the meeting.

Travel and Parking

• Directions to Wyman Way on the Keene State campus can be found at http://www.keene.edu/aboutksc/directions.cfm
• Continue down Wyman Way to the parking lot next to the Recreation Center. This can be found on the campus map.

Lodging

Campus Housing

You may reserve a room on campus in the college residence halls. The halls we will be using are apartment buildings with 4 one-person bedrooms per apartment. Please note that the apartments are not air conditioned.

Hotel/Motel/Bed and Breakfast Information

If you prefer off campus housing, you may reserve a room with a special rate at the following hotels/motels/bed and breakfasts. Except for the Super 8 motel, all other establishments are located within a mile of Keene State College.
